CNN’s Alisyn Camerota Mourns Husband Tim Lewis After Two-Year Battle With Cancer

Alisyn Camerota, longtime CNN anchor and political commentator, has shared heartbreaking news: her husband of 22 years, Tim Lewis, has passed away following a two-year fight against stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was 58 years old.

A Private Battle With a Public Goodbye

Camerota made the announcement through an emotional Instagram post, revealing that Lewis died on July 27, just two months before their 23rd wedding anniversary. The tribute included a wedding day photo and words that honored their life together:

“I feel incredibly lucky to have had such a deep, committed, and loving partnership for the time we had.”

The couple had three children—twin daughters Ale and Cessa, and son Nate. Camerota expressed how their family is still adjusting to the loss:

“Tim filled us with strength and stability. We are determined to try to emulate those qualities.”

A Legacy of Kindness and Purpose

Tim Lewis, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, had a successful career in private equity and business consulting. Most recently, he was a partner at Southfield Capital for nearly a decade. He was known not just for his professional achievements, but also for his commitment to community service.

Camerota reflected:

“I can’t imagine any human facing a devastating diagnosis with more humor, humility, and courage than Tim. He was a phenomenal father, husband, and role model.”

To honor his memory and legacy, the family has launched the Tim Lewis Cancer Foundation, aimed at supporting families navigating similar hardships. Camerota added:

“Tim devoted much of his life to giving back. We would be honored if you considered contributing to this fund.”
