In a dazzling kickoff to New York Fashion Week, Bloomingdale’s hosted a star-studded soirée at Manhattan’s historic Academy Mansion to launch its immersive retail campaign, From Italy, With Love. The two-month initiative is a tribute to Italian fashion, craftsmanship, and culinary culture—wrapped in the elegance of Milanese flair.
A Night of Elegance and Celebrities
The evening brought together a vibrant mix of personalities. Hosting duties were shared by screen icon Isabella Rossellini and cast members of HBO’s The Gilded Age, including Christine Baranski and Morgan Spector. Celebrities like Bette Midler, Tiffany Haddish, Nicky Hilton, and Ivy Getty graced the event, adding even more glamour to the occasion.
Bloomingdale’s CEO Olivier Bron stood alongside Graydon Carter, editor of Air Mail, to welcome guests and unveil what the department store described as one of its most ambitious fashion partnerships to date.
An Italian Invasion of Style
The campaign features around 30 new Italian brands and over 300 exclusive products from more than 150 designer labels. From the luxurious ready-to-wear collections of Fendi, Etro, and La DoubleJ to unique finds by Il Bisonte and Artico, the selection celebrates the diversity and depth of Italian design.
One highlight: a custom Giambattista Valli gown, designed with travel-inspired detail that captures the spirit of Mediterranean wanderlust.
In-store, visitors can expect interactive experiences—from Missoni embroidery stations to a retro-inspired photo booth adorned with Prada and Versace eyewear.
Fashion Meets Food (and Furniture)
The celebration doesn’t stop at clothing. Bloomingdale’s also partnered with Salone del Mobile Milano to create an installation titled Italian Design: From Classic to Contemporary, showcasing cutting-edge home décor from 23 acclaimed brands.
And if all that shopping stirs your appetite? Guests can visit Il Mercato, an Italian marketplace inside the store offering handmade pasta, gourmet sauces, artisanal oils, and curated coffees from beloved Italian brands like De’Longhi and Il Buco Vita.
A Toast to Italian Excellence
As fashion week continues to unfold across New York, Bloomingdale’s has managed to anchor its presence with a perfect blend of elegance, innovation, and international flair. In the words of the Milanese: bella storia—what a beautiful story.
